Instructions
- Wash the banana leaves and wipe them dry. Quickly pass them over low heat.
- In a pan, whisk together the coconut milk, rice flour, glutinous rice flour, sugar, vanilla, and salt until the mixture is smooth. Cook over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring until it thickens, then transfer to a bowl.
- In the same pan, whisk together the coconut milk, rice flour, glutinous rice flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Cook over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring until thickened, then transfer to a bowl.
- On a banana leaf, spread some of the plain mixture. Add some chocolate mixture on top, roll it up snugly, and fold in the ends to seal.
- Steam the rolls with the folded side down for 40 to 45 minutes, or until firm. Add hot water as necessary during steaming.
- Let the rolls cool slightly and top with crushed peanuts before serving warm or at room temperature.
