Taco Cups are a delightful blend of ground beef, cheddar cheese, and fresh toppings wrapped in crispy wonton wrappers. Perfect for a quick dinner or fun appetizers, these flavorful bites will please any crowd with their satisfying taste and easy preparation.

Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • ½ onion chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef (sub for ground turkey or ground chicken)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (3 tbsp)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • sour cream
  • 2 roma tomatoes chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped green onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion with a pinch of salt and sauté for a few minutes until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef and taco seasoning to the skillet, cooking until the beef is browned. Stir in the salsa and mix well.
  4. Spray a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray and line each cup with a wonton wrapper, pressing it into the bottom and sides.
  5. Fill each cup with half of the beef mixture and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Place another wonton wrapper on top of the cheese layer and repeat by adding another layer of ground beef and more cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-13 minutes or until the wonton cups are crispy and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with sour cream, chopped tomatoes, green onion, and cilantro.
