- 2 large chicken breasts (cut into strips)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs

- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour, and cook until slightly nutty. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella until melted. Combine with pasta and keep warm.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned breadcrumbs. Coat each chicken strip in flour, then egg, and finally breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken strips until golden and crispy, then place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In a separate pan, combine honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until slightly thickened. Coat the chicken strips in the sauce.
- Serve the honey pepper chicken over or alongside the creamy mac and cheese.
