Instructions
- Place chicken pieces in a large pot and cover them with water. Add salt and pepper, then bring to a gentle boil.
- Simmer the chicken until tender, about 45 minutes. Remove and shred the chicken, setting it aside.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and butter until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough thin and cut into strips or squares.
- Bring broth back to a boil and drop in dumplings one by one, stirring occasionally.
- Add shredded chicken back into the pot and simmer for another 15–20 minutes until thickened.
