- 2 t. smoked paprika
- sprinkle of cayenne pepper
- 1 t. onion powder
- 2 tsp. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1.5 lbs chicken tenders trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- ½ onion chopped
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup grated parmesan
Instructions
- Pat the chicken tenders dry for better browning.
- Season the chicken with blackened seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium and add butter and chopped onion; sauté until softened.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape the pan to release all the flavors.
- Stir in heavy cream and grated parmesan until combined.
- Return the chicken to the pan and simmer for 3–5 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve the chicken with pasta.
