- 1 pound sirloin steak, sliced thinly across the grain
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- sesame seeds
Instructions
- Coat the sliced steak with cornstarch until fully covered.
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over high heat. Add the coated steak and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, chili garlic paste, and sesame oil. Pour this mixture over the beef and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat slightly and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and the beef reaches your desired doneness.
- Remove from heat and serve the beef over cooked white rice, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
