  • butter, optional

  1. Remove the husks down and silk out, then put husks back up.
  2. Soak ears in cold salted water for 10 minutes (up to 30 minutes).
  3. Preheat the grill to medium (400°F) and clean the grates.
  4. Grill for 16–20 minutes, turning every 4–5 minutes, until a skewer slides into a kernel easily.
  5. With husks back, add butter and salt, then serve.
