  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cake batter extract, use clear extract to keep the frosting whiter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, use clear vanilla extract to keep the frosting brighter
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1 (8-ounce) tub cool whip, or 2 cups whipped cream, optional for a fluffier dip

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer or with an electric mixer, whip the softened butter for 2-3 minutes on high speed until creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar on low speed, mixing until combined. Scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. Incorporate the vanilla extract, cake batter extract, and heavy cream. If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more cream. Whip on high for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Optionally, for a fluffier dip, fold in the cool whip or whipped cream before adding the sprinkles.
  5. Gently fold the rainbow sprinkles into the mixture until evenly distributed.
  6. Store covered in an airtight container until ready to serve. Enjoy with mini Nilla wafers, teddy grahams, or graham crackers.
