Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cake batter extract, use clear extract to keep the frosting whiter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, use clear vanilla extract to keep the frosting brighter
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
- 1 (8-ounce) tub cool whip, or 2 cups whipped cream, optional for a fluffier dip
Instructions
- In a stand mixer or with an electric mixer, whip the softened butter for 2-3 minutes on high speed until creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar on low speed, mixing until combined. Scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Incorporate the vanilla extract, cake batter extract, and heavy cream. If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more cream. Whip on high for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
- Optionally, for a fluffier dip, fold in the cool whip or whipped cream before adding the sprinkles.
- Gently fold the rainbow sprinkles into the mixture until evenly distributed.
- Store covered in an airtight container until ready to serve. Enjoy with mini Nilla wafers, teddy grahams, or graham crackers.
