Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, cut into pieces (or chocolate chips)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Colored Chocolate Candies
  • Mini M&Ms
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper or grease it well and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate over low heat, stirring until combined and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated and brown sugar, blending until smooth.
  5. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  6. Sift together the cocoa powder, flour, cornstarch, and salt; slowly blend these dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy whipping cream until simmering, then pour it over chocolate for the ganache. Stir until smooth.
  11. Spread the ganache over the cooled brownies and top with colored chocolate candies, Mini M&Ms, and sprinkles.
  12. Let set before cutting into squares.
