This Cheesy Meatloaf is a delightful comfort food that blends ground beef with Chedz for an irresistible flavor. Easy to prepare, it’s perfect for a quick dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2/3 cup Chedz (any flavor) 4 oz Chedz crumbs equals about 3/4 cup
  • 1/4 to 1/2 onion, chopped to taste depending on onion preference
  • 1 lb ground beef can substitute ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar for sauce; omit if watching sugar intake
  • 1/4 cup ketchup for sauce, omit if skipping sauce
  • 1 tsp ground mustard for sauce; or use 1 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crumble Chedz into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir in Chedz crumbs until well combined.
  4. Mix in the ground beef and chopped onion with the Chedz mixture, then transfer to a 9×5 loaf pan, mini bread loaf pan, or slow cooker.
  5. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, ketchup, ground mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; spread this mixture over the meat.
  6. If using a 9×5 loaf pan, bake for 1 to 1 1/4 hours until the center reaches 160°F (70°C). For mini loaves or cupcake pans, bake for about 35 minutes. For a slow cooker, cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
