- 2 ½ lbs Ground beef
- 2 15-oz cans Diced tomatoes with liquid
- 1 6-oz can Tomato paste
- 1 4-oz can Green chiles with liquid
- 1 medium Bell pepper diced
- ½ large Onion diced
- 8 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup Chili powder
- 2 tbsp Cumin
- 1 tbsp Dried oregano
- 2 tsp Sea salt
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 medium Bay leaf optional
- A splash of hot sauce optional, for a kick
Instructions
- Heat a little olive oil in your preferred cooking vessel.
- For stovetop, use a Dutch oven on medium-high heat.
- Add diced onion and cook for 5-7 minutes until translucent; for caramelized onions, cook up to 20 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
