  • Total Time: 32 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 5 minutes, then spray with cooking spray.
  2. Trim any excess fat or skin from the chicken thighs. Place the thighs in a large resealable bag and set aside.
  3. Combine the kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika in a small bowl. Add this seasoning mix to the bag with the chicken thighs and shake to coat thoroughly.
  4. Once the air fryer is preheated, spray the basket with olive oil. Arrange the chicken thighs in the basket, skin side down, and cook for 12 minutes.
  5. Flip the chicken thighs over and cook for an additional 10 minutes until they reach the desired crispiness.
  6. Check the internal temperature with a digital thermometer; the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C) to ensure it is fully cooked.
  7. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste, adding more spices if desired.
Letting the chicken rest helps keep it juicy. Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.
