- ¼ cup whole blanched almonds (sliced almonds)
- 2–3 tablespoons strawberry jam (or raspberry)
Instructions
- Cream the butter and confectioners' sugar until fluffy.
- Add the egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Stir in flour and baking powder until just combined.
- Refrigerate the dough covered for 10 minutes.
- Shape the dough into finger shapes, pressing almonds for nails.
- Chill on the baking sheet for 15-20 minutes.
- Bake at 325°F for 20-25 minutes until pale golden.
- Add strawberry jam to the nail indent after cooling.
