Instructions

  • Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • Cream together vegan butter and organic sugar until soft and fluffy.
  • Add flax egg, vanilla, and red food coloring; mix until combined.
  • Gradually add dry mixture to wet mixture, stirring until smooth.
  • Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes to an hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Roll dough into balls, coat in granulated sugar, then powdered sugar.
