- Gradually incorporate flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix until a thick batter forms.
- Fold in crushed peppermint candies evenly.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Scoop and shape dough into balls, rolling in reserved sugar.
- Top with crushed peppermint candies before baking.
- Bake for 10-13 minutes until bottoms are lightly browned; cool on a wire rack.
