- 1 container pink sanding sugar
- 2 cups strawberry preserves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar in a large bowl and set aside.
- Cream the butter and powdered sugar, then add the egg and vanilla extract until fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour mixture until fully combined.
- Roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out heart shapes.
- Bake cookies for about 15 minutes and cool on a wire rack.
- Mix icing ingredients until stiff peaks form, then outline and fill cookies.
- Decorate with pink sanding sugar and assemble the sandwich cookies.
