- 2.5 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and diced (or baked and peeled)
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 (16 oz) bag large marshmallows (or mini marshmallows)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 casserole dish.
- Boil diced sweet potatoes in water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain sweet potatoes, return to pot, and mash with butter, sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Top with marshmallows and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until marshmallows are golden.
