  • ¾ cup strawberry preserves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
  • 12 tablespoons lemon juice for glaze

Instructions

  • Warm milk and stir in sugar and yeast for 4-5 minutes.
  • Combine yeast mixture, egg, and vanilla in a bowl.
  • Mix flour, sugar, and salt in another bowl; combine with wet ingredients.
  • Knead the dough until smooth; let rise until doubled in size.
  • Roll out the dough, spread butter and fillings, then roll tightly.
  • Cut into pieces, place in a greased pan, and let rise again.
  • Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Make glaze with powdered sugar, crushed freeze-dried strawberries, and lemon juice.
