- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, extra soft
- ¾ cup strawberry preserves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- 1–2 tablespoons lemon juice for glaze
Instructions
- Warm milk and stir in sugar and yeast for 4-5 minutes.
- Combine yeast mixture, egg, and vanilla in a bowl.
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in another bowl; combine with wet ingredients.
- Knead the dough until smooth; let rise until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough, spread butter and fillings, then roll tightly.
- Cut into pieces, place in a greased pan, and let rise again.
- Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Make glaze with powdered sugar, crushed freeze-dried strawberries, and lemon juice.
