  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped candies or nuts (optional)
  • 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, divided
  • â…› teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1015 cake pop sticks
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 6-inch round cake pan.
  • Sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • Beat egg and mix with sugar until light yellow. Add oil and milk.
  • Combine dry ingredients with wet mixture and blend with hot coffee.
  • Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool.
  • Heat cream and sugar until dissolved, then add butter.
  • Stir in chocolate and vanilla; cool completely.
  • Crumble the cooled cake and mix with frosting.
  • Shape into balls and insert sticks; freeze for 1 hour.
  • Melt remaining chocolate and dip each pop; decorate.
  • Chill until coating is set.
