Enjoy the Sloppy Joe Crescent Ring, a delicious and easy dish featuring seasoned ground beef, barbecue sauce, and gooey cheese wrapped in flaky crescent rolls—perfect for family dinners or gatherings!

  • Total Time: 42 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp hot water
  • ½ cup french fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 (8-oz) cans crescent rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ºF.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Combine cornstarch and hot water in a small bowl, then add it to the beef mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 16 triangles. Arrange these triangles in a circle on a pizza pan, leaving a 5-inch opening in the center.
  6. On each triangle, spoon the beef mixture, then top with french fried onions and shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Fold each dough triangle over the filling, tucking the tips underneath to secure them in place. Continue until all filling is enclosed.
  8. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, or until the crescent ring is golden brown.
