- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and red gel food coloring; mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk dry ingredients and gradually add to wet mixture.
- Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
- Roll each ball in powdered sugar and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for about 12 minutes until crinkled on top but slightly soft in the center.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
