Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 square metal baking pan.
  • Mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, and food coloring.
  • Gradually fold in dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
  • In another bowl, beat cream cheese and egg until smooth, then add sugar and vanilla.
  • Pour red velvet batter into the pan, spread cream cheese mixture on top, then swirl reserved batter.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until done; cool, cut and serve.
