Ingredients

  • Red gel food coloring
  • Green gel food coloring

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 220°F (104°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
  • Whip egg whites and cream of tartar to soft peaks.
  • Gradually add sugar while mixing until meringue is glossy and holds stiff peaks.
  • Fold in vanilla and almond extracts.
  • Stripe a piping bag with red and green gel food coloring.
  • Fill the piping bag with meringue and pipe onto baking sheets.
  • Bake for 1.5 hours, then turn off the oven and let meringues dry in it.
