- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup milk

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 cups very hot water
Instructions
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter or oil, and vanilla extract.
- Fold wet mixture into the dry mixture until thick batter forms.
- Pour batter into greased casserole dish, spreading evenly.
- Mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and chopped pecans, and layer over batter.
- Carefully pour very hot water over the cobbler mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven at 350°F for about 40 minutes until set.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
