Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and divided
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  • Melt 2 tbsp of butter and mix with garlic, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper to make herb butter.
  • Pat trout fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread herb butter over trout fillets.
  • Melt remaining butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook trout skin-side down for 3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes until flaky.
  • Garnish with extra herbs and lemon juice before serving.
