- 1 lb. fresh trout with skin on
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and divided
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, plus more for garnish
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Melt 2 tbsp of butter and mix with garlic, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper to make herb butter.
- Pat trout fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread herb butter over trout fillets.
- Melt remaining butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook trout skin-side down for 3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes until flaky.
- Garnish with extra herbs and lemon juice before serving.
