- 3 tablespoons strawberry jam (or raspberry, apricot, etc.)
- Water (for sealing the edges)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Extra flour (for rolling out dough)
Instructions
- Mix the softened butter and cream cheese until creamy.
- Add vanilla or almond extract and salt, blend until combined.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until smooth without overmixing.
- Chill the dough wrapped in plastic for at least one hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
- Roll out chilled dough to 1/8 to ¼ inch thickness, cut into squares.
- Place jam in the center of each square, fold and seal the corners.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden, cool, and dust with powdered sugar.
