  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 3 tablespoons strawberry jam (or raspberry, apricot, etc.)
  • Water (for sealing the edges)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Extra flour (for rolling out dough)

Instructions

  • Mix the softened butter and cream cheese until creamy.
  • Add vanilla or almond extract and salt, blend until combined.
  • Gradually add flour, mixing until smooth without overmixing.
  • Chill the dough wrapped in plastic for at least one hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
  • Roll out chilled dough to 1/8 to ¼ inch thickness, cut into squares.
  • Place jam in the center of each square, fold and seal the corners.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden, cool, and dust with powdered sugar.
