- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon greek yogurt
- 1 small yellow onion, grated
- 1 1/2 teaspoons italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon urfa biber
- Kosher salt
- Black pepper
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 4 burger buns (or lettuce wraps)
- Garlic Aioli
- romaine lettuce
- 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine ground chicken, 1/4 cup bread crumbs, Greek yogurt, grated onion, Italian seasoning, and Urfa Biber. Add a tablespoon of olive oil and mix well.
- On a plate, spread the remaining bread crumbs. Divide the mixture into 4 large portions, roll each into a ball, and flatten into 3/4-inch thick patties.
- Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over medium heat with a thin layer of olive oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Spread garlic aioli on the buns, add the chicken patties, and top with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Serve right away.
