  • 1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon greek yogurt
  • 1 small yellow onion, grated
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon urfa biber
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 burger buns (or lettuce wraps)
  • Garlic Aioli
  • romaine lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground chicken, 1/4 cup bread crumbs, Greek yogurt, grated onion, Italian seasoning, and Urfa Biber. Add a tablespoon of olive oil and mix well.
  2. On a plate, spread the remaining bread crumbs. Divide the mixture into 4 large portions, roll each into a ball, and flatten into 3/4-inch thick patties.
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over medium heat with a thin layer of olive oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. Spread garlic aioli on the buns, add the chicken patties, and top with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Serve right away.
