  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried basil (for soup)
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley (for soup)
  • 1/2 pound spaghetti, broken in half
  • Fresh basil for topping
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  • Mix ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, basil, and garlic salt in a bowl to form meatballs.
  • Heat olive oil in a pot and sauté carrots, celery, onion, and garlic until tender.
  • Add tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and herbs; mix well.
  • Carefully add meatballs to the pot and bring to a boil.
