- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas until well integrated.
- Pour in the honey and mix thoroughly until combined with the banana mixture.
- Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the baking soda, salt, and flour, adding cinnamon if desired.
- Gradually fold the flour mixture into the banana mixture until just combined; a few lumps are fine.
- If using, gently fold in the nuts or chocolate chips into the batter.
- Transfer the batter into the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and cool for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
