  • 1 pound ground beef (450g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 17 oz puff pastry (500g)
  • Flour for rolling
  • 1 beaten egg, for egg wash

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Sauté onion, carrot, celery, potato, and garlic in olive oil until tender.
  • Add mushrooms and herbs; cook until softened.
  • Mix vegetable mixture with ground beef and peas, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Roll out puff pastry; place the beef mixture in the center.
  • Seal pastry around the filling and brush with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until golden brown; rest before slicing.
