- ¼ cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 cups powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one by one and mix in molasses.
- Whisk together dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures until just incorporated.
- Spread dough on a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool completely before icing.
- Beat cream cheese with butter and vanilla until fluffy.
- Mix in powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Frost the cooled bars and cut into squares.
