Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup whey (strained from homemade yogurt)
- 64 ounces fruit juice (no preservatives)
Instructions
- Combine the whey and fruit juice in a gallon jar or a large mixing bowl with a pour spout.
- Pour the mixture into swing top bottles or mason jars, seal them tightly, and let them sit at room temperature for 3-4 days, or up to 1 week depending on your kitchen’s temperature.
- Open the bottles daily to release built-up carbon dioxide, then close again and gently turn the bottle upside down a few times to mix.
- Check for carbonation; when the soda is fizzy, fermentation is complete.
- Store in the fridge and enjoy within 1-2 weeks.
