Instructions

- Stir in whole milk and dried cherries just until combined.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface and press into a circle about 1 inch thick.
- Cut out scones using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush tops with beaten egg or cream.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
