- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 and 1/4 cups quick oats
- 1 cup dried tart cherries, coarsely chopped
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped (approximately 3/4 cup)
- 1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
- Dark chocolate chips, for topping the cookies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat softened butter and dark brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then mix with wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in oats, cherries, chocolate, and pecans until well combined.
- Scoop dough into balls and place on prepared sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-13 minutes until edges are set.
- Sprinkle dark chocolate chips on top while warm and cool on a rack.
