  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • Holiday sprinkles (for decoration)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 3 TBS heavy whipping cream (substitute with whole milk if needed)
  • 4 tsp light corn syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (for icing)
  • 34 TBS water (for icing)
  • Gel food coloring (optional)
  • Additional sprinkles (optional for decoration)

Instructions

  • Cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Gradually add the sugar, salt, egg, and vanilla. Mix until fluffy.
  • Slowly add the all-purpose flour and baking powder. Mix until dough forms.
  • Wrap the dough halves in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line baking sheets with parchment.
  • Roll out the chilled dough to ¼" thickness and cut out shapes.
  • Bake for 8-9 minutes until bottoms are lightly golden.
  • Cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Mix icing ingredients and adjust consistency with water.
  • Color the icing if desired and drizzle over cooled cookies.
