- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just mixed.
- Chill the dough for 1 to 2 hours.
- Roll out the dough and cut into shapes.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes and allow to cool.
- For the dip, beat unsalted butter and icing sugar until smooth, add vanilla, then adjust with milk.
- Mix in sprinkles and serve with the cookies.
