- 1 cup natural drippy creamy peanut butter (Trader Joe’s recommended)
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chocolate chips or peanut butter chips (Lily's recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, egg, maple syrup, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate or peanut butter chips evenly.
- Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 1 ½ inches apart.
- Press the cookies down slightly and top with extra chips if desired.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges set and centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a plate.
