  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or peanut butter chips (Lily's recommended)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, egg, maple syrup, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Fold in chocolate or peanut butter chips evenly.
  • Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 1 ½ inches apart.
  • Press the cookies down slightly and top with extra chips if desired.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges set and centers remain soft.
  • Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a plate.
