Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
- Mix cold butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in another bowl until creamy.
- Gently combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 6-7 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet.
