  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 1 and 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 13×9-inch baking dish.
  • Cut hot dog buns into bite-sized pieces.
  • Melt 4 tablespoons of butter and mix in garlic salt to create garlic butter.
  • Coat hot dog bun pieces with garlic butter.
  • Layer the coated bun pieces in the baking dish.
  • Cut hot dogs into bite-sized pieces and sauté in butter until browned.
  • Combine sautéed hot dogs with chili.
  • Pour the chili mixture over the bun layer in the baking dish.
