- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey (or maple syrup), cornstarch, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add broccoli florets and stir fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.
- Toss in the rinsed chickpeas, stirring continuously for another 3-4 minutes until heated through.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Drizzle the prepared garlic sauce over the stir fry. Stir well to coat all ingredients evenly.
- Let the stir fry cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.
- If desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds for extra crunch and flavor.
