- ½ cup butter
- 20 oz mini marshmallows
- 9 oz box rice crispy cereal
- 2 tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp salt
- red and orange food coloring
- 1 cup green candy melts
- 1 cup orange candy melts
- orange sprinkles
Instructions
- Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium-low heat.
- Add 1 1/2 bags of mini marshmallows to the melted butter and mix until fully melted, keeping the heat low.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt, and food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- Add half of the rice crispy cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir thoroughly.
- Incorporate the remaining marshmallows and rice cereal into the mixture.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan.
- Let cool for about 10-15 minutes.
- Slide the treat onto a cutting board using the parchment paper.
- Cut into 8 equal rectangles, then cut each rectangle into triangles to form carrot shapes.
- Melt green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring in between.
- Pipe 12 V-shaped stems on parchment paper and refrigerate for 10 minutes to harden.
- Flip the rice crispy treats onto the parchment and cut into carrot shapes.
- Melt orange candy melts in a separate bowl and drizzle over the carrot treats.
- Immediately add sprinkles on top while the chocolate is soft.
- Dot the top of each carrot with orange candy melt and attach the stem.
