- Orange gel food coloring

- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon salt (for frosting)
- 2 ½ cups confectioner's sugar
- ½ cup candy corn
- Yellow and orange sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare an 8×8 baking pan with butter and parchment.
- Cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
- Divide dough in half and color one half yellow and the other orange.
- Press yellow dough into the bottom of the pan and layer with orange dough.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes until set, then cool on a rack.
- To prepare frosting, cream softened butter and add vanilla, then gradually mix in powdered sugar and heavy cream.
- Spread frosting on cooled bars and decorate with candy corn and sprinkles.
- Cut into 9 squares and serve.
