Instructions
- Stir yeast and sugar into warm water; let sit until foamy (5-10 mins).
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl; add melted butter and foamy yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 6 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Grease the dough and bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Divide dough into eight portions, shape into balls, and let rise again (30 mins to 1 hour).
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Brush tops with egg (optional) and bake for 15-20 mins until golden.
- Cool, cut tops, and scoop insides gently.
