- 2 medium Honeycrisp apples, cored and diced
- 1 ½ cups blackberries
- ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons cane sugar
- 1 sheet puff pastry, preferably Dufour
- 1 egg, whisked
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook diced Honeycrisp apples for 8-10 minutes until soft.
- Add blackberries and ¼ cup cane sugar, cooking until mixture thickens.
- Roll out the puff pastry, cutting into 9 rectangles.
- Brush edges with egg wash, fill with fruit mixture, and fold.
- Crimp edges with a fork, brush tops with egg wash, and sprinkle with sugar.
- Make three slits on top for steam to escape.
- Chill assembled pies for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden.
