Ingredients

  • 2 medium Honeycrisp apples, cored and diced
  • 1 ½ cups blackberries
  • ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons cane sugar
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, preferably Dufour
  • 1 egg, whisked

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook diced Honeycrisp apples for 8-10 minutes until soft.
  • Add blackberries and ¼ cup cane sugar, cooking until mixture thickens.
  • Roll out the puff pastry, cutting into 9 rectangles.
  • Brush edges with egg wash, fill with fruit mixture, and fold.
  • Crimp edges with a fork, brush tops with egg wash, and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Make three slits on top for steam to escape.
  • Chill assembled pies for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden.
